Sam F. Park began his life-long love of comics when
he was 4 years old, drawing Superman with his 7-year-old cousin,
future-superstar Marvel and DC comic-book artist Kerry Gammill. Park
eventually went on to teach art while producing some of the largest
pop culture conventions in Texas, which led to his working and becoming
friends with many of the top creative people in the film and comic
book industries.
Moving to Los Angeles in the late 1980s to pursue
a screenwriting career, Park got involved in the promotional activities
for a number
of independent feature films, including "The Halfway House" and "Death's
Door". His clever PR work on those two pictures was instrumental
in landing both of them lucrative distribution deals.
Besides his
association with CinemaGraphix, Park still works as a motion-picture
scriptwriter, comic-book writer, and movie producer.
His latest screenplay is a horror film for Hyperion Pictures.
